The ACT EU workplan for 2026-2027 is now available.

The revised workplan is aligned with the updated ACT EU objectives. It is informed by key EU legislative and policy initiatives shaping the clinical trials environment, including the proposed Biotech Act, the Clinical Research Investment Plan (part of the Strategy for European Life Sciences) and the EU4Health initiatives.

The document highlights ACT EU’s areas of focus, taking into account the feedback received through the multi-stakeholder platform advisory group and other channels.

New focus areas include:

  • strengthening meaningful patient involvement across the clinical trial lifecycle
  • using clinical trial data to improve access and foster more inclusive trials
  • supporting timely submission of clinical trial results
