New resources on the ACT EU website

Support for non-commercial sponsors

The ACT EU initiative aims to identify gaps and propose solutions to support non-commercial sponsors setting up and conducting multi-national clinical trials across the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA).

With input from the Clinical Trials Coordination Group (CTCG), ACT EU has identified initiatives available in each EU Member State to support non-commercial sponsors at national, EU or global level. An interactive map of these support initiatives has been published. This mapping may not be fully comprehensive and will be updated as new initiatives are identified.

Groups and fora involved in clinical trials

Understanding the diversity of European medicines regulatory network (EMRN) groups involved in the clinical trial lifecycle is challenging. To address this, ACT EU has also mapped and provided details on the stakeholder fora and groups within the EMRN that that are involved in clinical trials. An updated webpage includes detailed information on each group or forum, along with a visual representation of their interactions.

This is the first step towards a more rationalised governance on clinical trials within the EU/EEA, clarifying the roles and responsibilities of the various expert groups working within the EMRN.

The ACT EU website is continuously updated with news, highlights and upcoming events of interest to clinical trial stakeholders in Europe.
