Accelerating Clinical Trials in the EU

Governance

The ACT EU Steering Group, established in March 2022, is composed of members from the European Commission, European Medicines Agency (EMA), Heads of Medicines Agencies (HMA), and the Network Portfolio Advisory Group (NPAG). The chair is provided by the European Commission.

The Steering Group has a decision-making role. It oversees the programme management structure, monitors and coordinates activities and deliverables, signs off communications, and recommends solutions in case of critical issues. The Steering Group reports to the EMA Management Board and HMA.
